Elijah Duran

I am Elijah Duran, a student who delves into many different facets of the artistic spectrum. At a younger age, using mediums such as paint or graphite when drawing or painting, transitioning into digital and photographic art forms as I've gotten older. Using the different skills and experiences I have learned from each of these mediums has helped me develop my overall agenda when creating. That being that I create art based around stories or experiences from my own life such as hardships, struggles, lessons and interpreting them into an artistic piece that can display my emotions through it. I like being able to create a piece of work that not only connects with the viewer but makes them also feel the impact I am portraying and learn something new about themselves. I think the beauty of art is being able to see through the lens of a life that you have not lived. Being able to understand a perspective you have not experienced and having a newfound opinion on the individual. This is what makes me want to create. I finally found my artistic purpose after 21 years and I wish to make this narrative prosper for the rest of my life.
