I am a returning student in the Graphic Design program. While I’ve spent time working as a journalist and a communicator in the field of cause marketing, I have always been attracted to art and design for its raw power to explore our stories emotionally and soulfully. I am especially drawn to political design and art that serves as window into the era in which it was made. Mediums I am personally working to develop include photography and graphic design.
One of the themes I find myself exploring in my own fledgling design practice is that of humankind’s relationship with nature and what we call “progress.” In my work, I think about problems inherent in modernity and our relationship with the unbuilt world.
