Shari Due is a documentary filmmaker, media instructor, and freelance video producer.
Shari has produced, directed and edited nine feature-length documentary and several short films, covering such issues as dumpster diving to reduce landfill waste 210_Million_Tons, the upside of the economic downturn (Renaissance),gentrification, (Desplazado and Beer Bands Bikes & Broke), water (www.wateringthewest.com currently in post production), injustice (Choice City for Whom?, Hispanic Community Voices: The Impact of Covid-19, Los Betabeloros: The Beet Workers--in post production). Her films have played regional and statewide theaters in Colorado and been featured on Rocky Mountain PBS.
A recipient of the Colorado Creative Industries Career Advancement Award, Due holds a B.S. in Education, an M.S. in Counseling, and is an alumni of Colorado State University’s Journalism and Media Communications program. She teaches video editing and video production at Front Range Community College, is a professional consultant at Rocky Mountain Student Media (the CSU student media corporation), and is a freelance video producer specializing in storytelling through her company, Be Reel Pictures.
